Can I apply for a joint Second Chance Checking Account?

Yes, you can apply for a joint Second Chance Checking Account. You each will have to fill out an application and you both will have to supply all the required documents. Please identify your application as being a joint Second Chance Checking application.

No, this is not a credit card.

Is this a Pre Paid Credit or Debit Card?

No, this is not a pre paid card. This is a real checking account that comes with a checkbook, debit MasterCard, online banking, online bill pay, plus many other great benefits.

How will I know when my application has been received?

Once Peoples Bank receives your application and begins processing, they will send you an email to the email address you provided on your application. If you are approved, Peoples Bank will email your account information securely encrypted through Proofpoint Inc. (do-not-reply@proofpointessentials.com). To view your new checking account information you will be required to create an account with Proofpoint Inc. The "Peoples Bank on behalf of pcs@pbparis.com" email will contain instructions on how to open your Proofpoint Inc. secure account and satisfy the final document requirements, so that your new checking account will remain open.

How long will it take for me to get my debit MasterCard & Checkbook?

You will typically receive your welcome packet and checkbook in 5-7 business days from the date of your approval email. Your debit MasterCard typically arrives in 7-14 business days from the date of the approval letter. Most of our clients receive all of their banking tools in 7-14 business days from the date of the approval email.

Is there a fee to use the card or checks?

No, there are no signature-based fees, PIN-based transaction fees, or per check writing fees.

How do I access my online banking?

Go to www.pbparis.com and enter in your access information provided to you in your welcome packet.

Where can I use my debit MasterCard?

Anywhere debit MasterCard is accepted worldwide at millions of stores, ATM’s, gas stations, online stores, supermarkets, hotels…. Anywhere MasterCard is accepted.

Can I withdraw money from an ATM with my debit MasterCard?

Yes, anywhere debit MasterCard, Pulse, Cirrus and Maestro are accepted.

What are all the fees involved?

This is a Second Chance Checking Account with many free features. Please visit our disclosure page for a full list of account fees. Some fees may or may not apply to you and some fees are only incurred if you use those services.

How do I add funds to my checking account?

We recommend using direct deposit because it is the fastest, cheapest and safest way to add funds, but there are several other ways to fund your Second Chance Checking Account. So, please visit our “depositing funds” page for more information on depositing options.

Is there a maximum amount that I can put into my checking account?

No, there is no limit and you can put as much money into your checking account as you want. Please note that various types of advances, wire transfers, and electronic transactions may have limitations according to your initiating service provider or Peoples Bank.

Is this Second Chance Checking Account FDIC insured?

Yes, your Second Chance Checking Account is held at an FDIC insured bank and your individual accounts are FDIC insured up to $250,000.00.

How do I report a lost or stolen card?

Immediately call Peoples Bank's toll free line at 1-800-454-5688. Peoples Bank will cancel your card and issue you a new one. There is a $6.50 fee for card replacement.
